Hi new friend, it is good you are asking questions and for sure it is hard to explain BPD. I had to wikipedia and google it too after my diagnosis was questioned (I once was diagnosed with Brief Psychosis, then Anxiety Disorder, then diagnosed Depression, now diagnosed Bipolar 1, but the current psychiatrist is thinking maybe I have BPD and wants to observe me longer)

Briefly though, the difference between Bipolar and Borderline is that bipolar is mainly a mood disorder like large mood swings that include mania and depression. The mania stage can include psychosis, impulsivity, hyperactiveness. Whereas Borderline is a personality disorder that includes trouble with relationships, impulsive behaviour that is risky or harmful to oneself, and empty feelings of constant loneliness and fear of abandonment, with suicidal thinking.

Hi, I have BPD. Was recently correctly diagnosed with it after years of being told it was depression and anxiety. It can be a bit difficult to spot-especially for people like myself who have "quiet" BPD. I rage internally rather than externally.
