Why does everyone say this med makes them gain weight, it hasn't had that effect on me, I am maintaining my weight but would like to gain rather than lose?

Yes, and I have some tips maybe keep a food journal, ask yourself questions such as when did it start and how long you felt that way? If you feel that it is controlling your life, talk to a Dr because some meds can also cause you to not feel hungery and maybe you may need a lower dose. Also ask yourself is this pill helping my depression?

I noticed a pattern with myself usually I don't want to eat when I experience something to painfully to cope with.

My plan is schedule my meals because right now I'm on new meds and it's not feeling so great on an empty tummy! I hope you found this helpful! you asking these question has also helped me because it got me thinking!

I put on a lot a weight taking SNRI's...that was causing me more stress...another doctor put me on a ssri, and I have lost a lot of weight. The trouble is the pill really doesn't put the weight on you it messes with your metabolism.
