I'm interested in knowing if an increased dose of medicine also takes several weeks to take effect like when you first start using citalopram you have to wait 4-6 weeks for a response from your body.

Definitely normal with any change to meds. It can be a bug change to your system.

Keep an eye on any unusual symptoms, and let your GP know at your review if anything has occurred.

Good luck! :)

If you look at the Patient Information Leaflet inside the box, it will tell you the symptoms to look out for, but yes, even the same med at a higher dose will affect you until you adjust. It'll take about 3weeks to work like at the beginning. Good luck, I hope it helps. ((Hugs))
