Does Anybody Have Or Know About POTs?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been diagnosed with POTs. My doctors don't seem to know much about it and I want to find out more info so I can try and take care of myself. there are so many days that I feel so yucky but I don't really know what causes it or how to make it better. I know I should be having a lot of salt and drinking water but I can't always do that...

OMG, I didn't know that was a "condition" ... my doc says I have it but just to get up slowly and be careful. LOL. Small world. I found this: Postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome (POTS, also known as postural tachycardia syndrome) is a condition in which a change from the supine position to an upright position causes an abnormally large increase in heart rate, called tachycardia.

Wow I have never met another person with POTS but I have it. It just means that when you change positions or stand up your heart will race. I take a beta blocker for mine and sometimes I can feel it race but a lot of the time it doesn't bother me. I haven't really researched the long term effects but I plan to soon. Just diagnosed last year. Have a great day!
