Its gd to know you realise you have a problem with spending no matter what you get diagnoised with your still you that diagnoises will no longer be apart of you they will give you different coping tools to deal with the problem the biggest thing you should be proud to even admit you have a problem talk to family members get support if you ever need to talk im here.
I was officially diagnosed while I was hospitalized in the mental hospital, but my psychiatrist gave me the probable diagnosis years before and started me on lithium which helped. I attended an intensive partial hospitalization behavioral therapy program to help me be aware of my triggers that may send me into a hypomanic phase where I am more apt to go on shopping sprees. Journaling helps me track my moods, anxiety levels, stressors, sleep, etc and makes it easier for me to visualize how I am doing.
