I’m on Day 10 on MAIO/Parnate, and am so pleased that I don’t seem to be experiencing any adverse side effects. Maybe it’s wishful , but I feel like I have a bit more energy, have not experienced any adverse side effects, and although early on obviously, I’ve been handling the dietary restrictions without incident or much inconvenience. I am to increase dosage on April 29, so I guess I’ll see how I experience that. But for once in a very long time, I actually feel hopeful about a medication. I guess I’ll soon see! But as I said, for once in YEARS, I actually feel optimistic about a medication. Stay tuned!!

It’s a different class of antidepressant for TR MDD, not usually prescribed because of dietary restrictions and side effects that can lead to very high BP levels. Used typically for people who have not responded positively to any other antidepressants.

I don't know what an MAIO is. I am going to have to look it up. Can you explain more about it?
