I have a bad relationship with my family, yet my husband has no family and continually contacts my family and it puts me in emotional distress.

I'm safe with my husband and my brothers are just abusive when together. Don't see them much anymore but their words carry a lot of emotional pain.
I have to decline family events starting now

Maybe you should go to Adult protective services & get help getting away from him, don't sound like a safe person to be with.
