I found out that doing things to get my mind off of me helps.

Anxiety can definitely mess with your sleep patterns. If you can't sleep like I said get up and write in a journal or read a book. Clean the kitchen. Cook something there's no reason not to if you can't sleep. Keep yourself busy. That will help.

I can remember staying up half the night. For me being a little busy has made the difference. It's frustrating, I know, but try to do something the body and mind get along. Take it one step at a time.
