Practical Advice For Learning New Techniques
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I've seen people talking about Buddhism and how it can help to change the focus of the mind to ease depression episodes. I'm very interested in trying something new but hesitant because I'm not at all religious (religion played a big negative role in my childhood). Does anyone have any resources to understand why training yourself to be in the Buddhist mindset helps with depression? I don't necessarily want to be a Buddhist but maybe a new way of thinking can help? Thanks.

I think it's do with meditation apparently it helps relax the body and reconnects ourselves as we live in a world of stress and busyness makes sense as Buddhists are always calm looking
