Loosing Health Insurance!
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi guys
So I was on state health insurance so all my therapy and meds were covered. But because I took a small part time job, my family lost our benefits. I am not sure what to do. We just filed bankruptcy, don’t make a lot of money, and are living with family because we can’t afford a place to live right now. Our jobs don’t offer medical insurance. But somehow according to the state, we make too much money. I am looking at speaking with a health insurance broker on Monday, but I have several… read more

Omg I’m so fed up with this government! My daughter is in the same predicament. I cry because she cries and know I can’t help. It’s affecting me so much to see her try and hit brick walls and I can’t do anything to help. I myself am struggling as well. Jesus take the wheel. This government is out of control and not doing anything for the people. I hope you find assistance.

That doesn't make sense. It you can't afford it, you can't afford it. She shouldn't say that. That's bull crap. I would fight her on that. They can't deny you help I don't think just because you can't afford more treatment. I would look into that. That doesn't make sense. Good luck with that. I hope it works out.

There has to be something somewhere in your state for this kind of 'hole'. Maybe ask your local Department of Social Services for the website in your state that gives you all the info you need on the eligibility for the insurances out there. If you have done this, then maybe go over them again and if you have to get some kind of insurance to pay for care and meds, then you will just have to do it. Your monthly Budget will have to be revised for this. 😷
