How do I deal with it because I j am very depressed and upset about it what would you suggest?
I think you have to respect their decision. Although you have relied upon them to be your therapist for so long, they now no longer feel comfortable.Something has changed, or maybe they feel like they can't make any progress with you. I'm not saying your feelings aren't valid, they absolutely are... and I understand how devastated you must feel, having your support taken away. But she/he is a person, as well as a professional. And perhaps they are feeling very unsettled continuing this therapist/patient relationship with you.. Perhaps she/he feels that it has past the professional boundary, and not comfortable with that. And in order to send you a very strong message, which they have probably tried to tell you gently, they feel this is the only way to make you understand that it can't continue. Which is hurtful and I'm sure it's hard to wrap your head around. Please try to find another therapist..... I don't want to think that you could possibly be charged with harassment, etc, by continuing to contact them.
Best wishes.... and I'm sorry you are feeling this way.
I agree you should get z recommenation from your oresent therapist 😚😇
I would just nod in acknowledgement and keep to yourself.... it's going to be okay
