I'm still waiting to see a new psychiatrist, however I'm still having a lot of self doubt and conflict due to how my last psychiatrist treated me. When I told her that my current drug regime wasn't working and was making me too exhausted to function and that I wanted to try something else she refused and said "I've read your notes and you've been on and off far too many medications this year, I'm sure you didn't give them time to take effect" she was referring to me having tried 3 different meds… read more
Angie,
It's your body and you get to decide what goes on it. You can't be forced to take any meds that you don't want, unless you lack the mental capacity to understand the consequences.
It's time for people to start listening instead of thinking they know best.

Angie, I feel for you, dear. Do you have a therapist, maybe if you explain it to her/him and they could talk to your doctor for you...? In the end it is up,to you, if you've tried them for the required amount of time for them to start kicking in, all of your drugs at once, maybe wait and see what your new doctor has to say...? Have you been on all of yours for the same amount of time, for them to really fuse together and do what's best for you?
I will be praying for you to get the best care and the best meds for you to feel good about yourself.

Hi everyone, thanks so much for your answers, I truly appreciate them. You've helped me come to the conclusion that you should always trust your own intuition about what's right for your body, regardless of what these "experts" advise.

Thankyou so much good luck to you too. Maybe spring will give us spring in our steps. Lol I still have away to go little steps.
