Horrible unhealthy childhood that teaches you bad habits and thinking your feelings are invalid
The reason why I ask is because of my lifelong struggle with sleep, I was always told the sleepiness was most likely caused from depression only to find out later it could be the other way around because of my sleep issues it could and likely does cause depression, or I just have both.

I'm on bupropion which is the generic for wellbutrn, which I take that for my depression and one of the possible side effects of the drug is anxiety. If that is the case it's a bit of a catch 22. You take a med to control your depression which causes anxiety which in turn caused depression.
Every few years I have to have my antidepressant changed because it stops working .
I don't consider feeling sad about something bad that happened depression. That is a normal response to something. To me depression is feeling bad when I don't really have a reason to. Or feeling too bad about something that happened. Too bad for too long.
What causes that? Why do I react differently than other people?

Hi I've been on different antidepressants for years and am currently on cymbalta/duloxetine. All of them have caused me to put on weight, which causes more depression and not liking myself.
