For those who don’t know, I lost my son to anencephaly earlier this year. The day that we lost him is coming up in a few months, and Wife and I are wanting to come up with a name for the day we lost our son.
Seeing that I am an aethiest, I don’t want to call it Angel-versary.
I am wondering if anyone here has ever experienced loosing a son, and if so, what do you call the day? Or even if you haven’t lost someone, do you have a suggestion?
Thank you
I am sorry to hear of yours, Danielle.
Be strong - your son is forever with you.
I'm so sorry for your loss. I am a mother of four so I couldn't imagine how you feel.
Thank you so much for your suggestion, Mrluvsjah. I quite like the “spirit baby” part of that. We were really hoping for something that doesn’t make us feel sad. I found a word - vilomah - that is Sanskrit for “against the natural order”.
My husband lost his son to cancer 2 almost 3 years ago and we dubbed the day he passed Xander Day. Although we are both Christian we wanted to make that day a day where we did all of his favorite things. My condolences for you and your family.
I’m sorry for your loss. That’s a good name for your sons day.
Thank you for your suggestion
