I got a job interview tomorrow and all I keep thinking is how the hell am I suppose to do a job when I'm still self harming
Anyone got any tips or advice for me
Continuing my theme of tough love: STOP self-harming. Set a goal to stop, and then stop doing it. It's just a habit that you'll have to break - like smoking or getting smashed or any other addiction. There are other stress-management habits you can replace it with. Remember that we are our own greatest critics. Imagine that, whenever you are depressed to the point of self harm, you are your own five year old child, crying in pain because his knee got hurt. Just imagine that. Would you tell a five year old to punish himself? No. Would you tell a five year old that he deserves this pain? No. Would you harm a five year old? No, so don't do that to yourself. What would make a five year old stop feeling distraught? A HUG. A "Don't worry, it's going to be okay, I'M HERE FOR YOU." Stop abandoning yourself when you need YOU the most. You're worth your own love! And even though you might feel you are not in control, you are. Take back your power. <3
Watch this and download it and watch it every morning. It really helped me to stop my own self-harming habits.

Good luck!
These days getting an interview is a huge accomplishment, celebrate that and be proud of yourself, that will reflect positively with the interviewer. You got this!
You just need to find a better way to stop harming yourself because it's not good for u to be that at all.So you need to stop harming yourself because there will be a point where you will go to far and hurt yourself more then u want to.So you need to go to see a doctor about this and see what she are he will tell u what to do about it u might need to get on some medication for your problem
Thank you all for the advice
@A MyDepressionTeam Member what an awesome way to look at and relate to self- harming!! Such amazing advice. Of course, I'm assuming its something that doesn't work overnight. Taking practice and time. Because, as with any 5-yr old child, it's a work in progress. But, oh how worth it!!
MUCH RESPECT to you!! ❤❤❤
