Is there any medicine (prescription) out there designed to treat deep anger? I just have this deep anger inside me and I have an extremely short fuse, I tend to lash out without meaning too and I know this is a part of my BPD but sometimes I feel my anger gets out of control and it controls me sometimes.
I'd suggest an antipsychotic drug like Risperidone, you can read about it here, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Risperidone I'd suggest you talk with a doctor about your aggression, trying to be as honest with them as possible, as if you don't tell them about it, they can't help you x
I don't know about prescription meds (maybe xanax) but there are some essential oils that have been known to help.
I have both Bipolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder
(or is BPD for Borderline Personality Disorder - remarkably similar advice though if this is the case.
The higher/ manic end of bipolar can manifest as anger as well as mania (in bipoar II hypomania can manifest as grumpiness/ micro agressions/ impatience/ dissatisfaction). If any extreme of feeling or behaviour gets so you feel yourself or those around you are be adversly affected.
I don't know how you are medicated, but bipoar disorder is usually treated with a mood stabaliser (or other drugs with a secondary effect of mood stabalising) but If you are not medicated, or the medication is not addressing the symptoms of the illness and disimproving your quality of life you should go to your psychiatrist (I'm presuming you have one with a bipolar diagnosis) and discuss these issues with him or her and look at medication changes. Some people require additional medication during a manic cycle such as sedatives, however this is mainly the case with bipolar I,
There have also been some promising studies of the use of supplements for bipolar people. This is worthy f further research. There have been findings that cod liver oil and Omega 3 and 6 can slow the 'cycling' or switching between two states in bipolar, and reduce the severity of the symptoms. This is supplemental and does not replace psychiatric medications for most people.
Short story though, talk to your doctor about it.
