I was wondering if there's much difference between major depression disorder and bipolar 2 disorder? It seems when I see a new psychiatrist it gets changed.
Thanks for the help.
My diagnosis from the mid 1990s changed from schizoaffective disorder to bipolar disorder about five years ago. Also read some where that there is some flavor of bipolar with a schizoaffective… read more

Recently my long term partner broke up with me because they no longer were in love with me. In a conversation they told me two people with depression should probably have never been together. Is this a cop out or is there some truth in this? I always believed because we both suffered at different times we would be the best people to support each other as we really understood what the other was going through.
I suffer from depression and so does my husband so it can work it definitely is not easy but so is every relationship and it does help us in ways because we know what it's like think it may be easier… read more

For those of you who were initially diagnosed with "unipolar" or just Major depressive disorder and were later diagnosed with bipolar disorder, what were some of the main signs that you noticed that indicated you might have manic symptoms as well?
Or what made you/others realize that your "normal" state was actually a manic state?
I used to talk a mile a minute and I’d have severe mood swings; since I’m medicated I don’t have any manic episodes
I am bipolar. Bipolar 1 is when you have more hypomanic or manic episodes and bipolar 2 is when you have more depressive episodes
I can't focus, have zero motivation to do anything, not able to keep up with anything, can't finish anything. Could I have an incorrect diagnosis?
Just do it. Works for me. But only once in a while
Myself it depends on who you asked I guess .. but all said bi-polar
Bipolar I, major depressive disorder, ptsd and depression
Hi, that’s a very good way of explaining bipolar. Thank you for sharing.
Mine is anxiety, depression, and PTSD. What other matches are out there? and what do you think the difference and the similarities are? like between someone with anxiety and depression, and someone with ODD and depression, or bipolar and depression?
I have this Bipolar I mixed state & Borderline Personality Disorder
