My psychiatrist and I are considering embarking on the long ECT journey, but I'm wondering if anyone here has actually had it? I'm treatment resistant major depressive disorder, would appreciate hearing anyone's experience!
I had it a few years back. It affected my short term memory for a while but as time passed it got better. If you’re not getting better with medication I would do it.

Has anyone done ECT? Was it helpful? I know I may be asked to do it if I am hospitalized again and I am considering. I would like some opinions.
@A MyDepressionTeam Member I am just now seeing this a year later! I'm so sorry. My friend did her treatments outpatient. She said inpatient is rare these days for ECT treatment.
Good for you. If you don't at least try it, you'll always wonder if ketamine could have been the thing that finally worked.

Hi. I suffer from major depression and anxiety and have suicidal thoughts nearly every day and I am wondering if ECT would be right for me. I'm on clonazepam aka klonopin for my anxiety and it seems to work quite well though I know they don't recommend taking it long term. I take a low dose of abilify and take 150mg of Zoloft each morning for my depression and I'm not sure if either 1 is working

I’m curious if people think clinical depression is completely a medical issue or to some extent demonic oppression?
Very interesting question. Not so much Demonic but definitely negative energy.
