When you’re depressed and your self-esteem feels like it’s sinking daily, it's easy to compare yourself to others and feel like you are not good enough. Depression and low self-esteem often go hand-in-hand. Discussing positive qualities and interests about ourselves with others who understand what you are going through, is a good way to start to climb out of the low self-esteem cycle.
