Its getting harder and harder by the day to distinguish the realities apart. If i look at a car, i know its a car and i can say "that's a car," but apart of me isn't fully comprehending that the car is real. (if that makes any sense haha.) Just knowing you are delusional is a very good start. Now you know what to work on. Many people who are delusional don t know it and really believe or act out the delusion. You got that beat.Take credit for being able to recognize such a problem as well as seeking help to deal with it. You are on track big fella, so keep working at it

I don't think you have delusions - I think you are Bipolar. Deep depression all the time with periods of mania (when you're 'hyper' and confident).

As to you're having trouble distinguishing realities apart - I think that might be the cognitive dyfunction that quite a few people with Bipolar Disorder (BD) have.

Our brain structure changes (!) and is different from mentally healthy people or from people with just depression. We have less grey matter in our frontal and insular brain regions - leading to trouble in emotional processing and decision-making. The study also found abnormalities in precentral frontal areas and the putamen of the brain (a large structure located within the brain that is 'involved in a very complex feedback loop that prepares and aids in movement of the limbs'.) Well what do you know - that could be why I have balance issues and keep almost falling. I learn new things every day!

As well, we have reductions in the white matter or our brains (which is why we go up and down in our moods). Another study says: "Cognitive dysfunction is an important aspect of bipolar disorder (BD) that includes problems with thinking, concentration and memory."

Another study found 'Evidence of deficits in intracortical maturation in bipolar I disorder' and another study found hippocampal atrophy. So our brains are totally goofed up compared to other non-bipolar people. Aren't we lucky?!!

You need to be on a mood stabiliser - and Lithium is the first choice. It works as an antidepressant as well as a mood stabiliser (preventing mania). It will work wonders for you and get you feeling more 'normal'.

When were you diagnosed with depression and by whom? Did you tell them about your 'hyper' times? If you did, you were majorly misdiagnosed!

nah less than 20 days before I see someone who can give me a diagnosis. However this is very useful information and i shall definitely say something about this to him when i see him. Very useful information, i just need to properly get diagnosed so i know what i have and stop pondering haha. thanks.

Just by sharing here you are helping spread awareness. Sometimes when I read someone's post I think yeah that is what I couldn't find the words to express. As far as the rest goes it's a personal decision. I am fearful of permanently loosing my reality. After a while I find my delusions just as stressful as my reality.
