A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Good Morning,

About three week's ago when I went to pick up my medication there was a note to say my Venlafaxine (Efexor XR) had been changed to a generic brand of the medication - Enlafax. I didn't think too much of it at the time
I have noticed a drop in my mood, I am increasingly more irritable and angry inside, my thoughts of self-harm and suicide have definitely increased, and I just don't feel "right".
I thought a bit more about what could be causing then then I had a light-bulb moment… read more

Does Anyone Take Venlafaxine To Up Their Antidepressant, And If So, How Many Mgs Do You Take?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I take 120 mg a day of Duloxitine, then 225 mg Venlafaxine to up the Duloxitine. 2 X a day for the Duloxitine, 3 X a day for the Venlafaxine. Does anyone know if those doses are the highest you can take? A situation a couple of weeks ago brought me down in a depressive state, my meds aren't helping like they should, what can I do? He told me to call if I needed him, I won't go in patient to have my meds changed, I'm doing that at home, for sure!

A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

I've recently been moved onto Venlafaxine does anyone have any advice or info or the side effects at all been getting extremely intense sweats since starting these, is this a common side affect from this medication and does it settle down, really unsure about continuing with it if it's long term a feel like most ppl stare at me when a go out anyway a don't really need sweats to add to this reason for being anxious when out

Anyone Experiencing Side Effects Of Long Term Use Of Psych Medication, Such As Confusion, Forgetfulness, Etc.
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Just wondering if that's the cause...psych meds. I've been on them (many different ones) for nearly 20 years for major depressive disorder and anxiety. I am 40 years old and the last couple years have seemed cloudy for me. I am definitely not as sharp as I used to be! Currently on Viibryd, Abilify and Provigil. Thank you in advance!

I just stated taking Venlafaxine for 35.7 mg and I had just been taking it for almost two weeks. I think I will have to tell my doctor to up the dosage because I don't feel any different taking this medication.

My question is has anyone taken Venlafaxine for depression and anxiety and has it helped them?
