Hi. I suffer from major depression and anxiety and have suicidal thoughts nearly every day and I am wondering if ECT would be right for me. I'm on clonazepam aka klonopin for my anxiety and it seems to work quite well though I know they don't recommend taking it long term. I take a low dose of abilify and take 150mg of Zoloft each morning for my depression and I'm not sure if either 1 is working

I've never experienced any adverse reactions but you might want to ask your doctor if you're concerned.
Talk to people. I tell my sons and some friends who won’t freak out but just listen to me and then they help me to see why that’s not an option.
I am attending an appointment with my doctor tomorrow to discuss options for medication to help with my depression, anxiety and disassociation related symptoms. When setting up this appointment they told me to look into the different options myself and see which I believe will be the best option for myself.
So I was wondering what are people's personal opinions on the subject and what was the best form of treatment for you?
Medication, therapy, especially Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Support from family. Reading up to date articles and publications on the subject. Joining support groups like this one.
