How do you know if you are bipolar? I think I'm bipolar but my psychiatrist won't give me a straight answer.

Bipolar disorder has extreme mood swings yo between mania or hypomania, a less extreme kind of manic type mood and behavior, on the one hand and depression on the other hand yo, friend . .

Depression is unipolar depression . .

Yes, I agree. A second opinion is definitely needed. If you are bipolar you want to get diagnosed asap

Get a new dr. Call your insurance and ask them for a list of psychiatrist in your area they cover

I am almost positive I am among other things. But I decided to not be tested. I have been labeled all my life and I really don't want add anything else. It's probably not the right decision, but It is the best for me.
