What Do You Do When You Have Resistant Depression?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been working on a psychiatrist for over a year with severe depression. I do have short period when my depression lifts. Wellbutrin, Prestiq, Lexapro, Modafinil and added Lamictal recently. I am still slowly increasing dose. I don’t feel any pleasure, happiness or motivation. I have not have had 1-2 days of feeling good. With each medication as I increase the dose I will feel sick for 1-3 days. I’m feeling exhausted and so is my husband. Any insights or suggestions?

Although I have several other pills for different reasons. My doctor has me on Pristiq and has worked me up to 150 mg daily. It has helped more than others have. But it's hard to tell when depression has taken you over.

@A MyDepressionTeam Member Does your doctor say you have resistant depression? Reason I ask is maybe he/she still has other meds that you can try. If you do have resistant depression there is TMS & ECT. If you go to Q & A you can see what has been asked about them. Best of luck to you.
