Need treatment in my area for traumatic stress disorder
I have heard that there is no 'cure' or remission of the Schizo-Effective part of the Disorder. It's just with you now. I was once diagnosed with it. Everybody' is different where help and… read more
I was in a car accident when I was around 4 or 5 yrs old that resulted in a severely broken nose which was also sliced open. I had stitches in my nose, just underneath my eyebrow and above my top lip. I'm curious to know if this is a contributing factor to my lifelong depression. There are other contributing factors as well, but I've never told my therapists about this.
My question would be to you, if that was true, what caused the depression, for all those who havnt hada hand had trauma
I don't consider feeling sad about something bad that happened depression. That is a normal response to something. To me depression is feeling bad when I don't really have a reason to. Or feeling too bad about something that happened. Too bad for too long.
What causes that? Why do I react differently than other people?

Sexual abuse is horrible. It will make a person feel less than not only to others but themselves. What advice can adults give for self-care and love for your body? Because let's face it we are trying to be one with ourselves and enjoy life.
I don't know really how to start self care.

Does anyone else here have bpd? How do you deal?
I do plus anxiety and traumatic PTSD. I go to therapy every 2 weeks. Also Zoloft
I noticed my anxiety goes up during a certain time of the month. It could be partly hormones, but it doesn't help that I just don't feel good! But anyways, I think society in general doesn't talk a lot about periods or mental health, so mental health during "the curse" just isn't mentioned! So, feel free to discuss it here without judgement 😊
My monthly cycle was due today but it hasn't come yet
How can I be sure that I suffer from depression and not post traumatic stress?
I went to an inpatient center for a 60 day mood and anxiety program. My diagnosis was always depression or bi polar. The center's team diagnosed me with ptsd. It was kind of a relief.
Mine is anxiety, depression, and PTSD. What other matches are out there? and what do you think the difference and the similarities are? like between someone with anxiety and depression, and someone with ODD and depression, or bipolar and depression?
I have this Bipolar I mixed state & Borderline Personality Disorder
