Zoloft Medications
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Just saw the doc yesterday 06/05/19 and she put me on Zoloft 25mg - wanted to know if anyone else takes zoloft in this group and what to expect?

Been on it for a few yrs now. I find taking it before bed is best as it causes sleepiness at first. It does take about a month to fully feel the effects. It works for me for the most part. It helps with the day to day moodiness. I still have bouts of depressed feelings, but since the daily moodiness is gone, it makes dealing with the bouts a bit easier. No change in the bedroom 🙂

Hope this helps

Hello. I took Zoloft years ago. Everyone has different reactions to medicine. And I usually don't read the side effects because sometimes they scare me and then I don't end up taking them. But I felt emotionally numb on Zoloft like having no emotion to anything. I just felt blah all the time. And I could not have an orgasm when I was on it. I know that probably is TMI but you asked so. But if I were you, just take them as the doctor prescribed and see how you do as them. You may not have any negative side effects. I am on Amitriptyline now and have zero side effects. You just never know.

I was also on Zoloft for about a year and it began to effect my memory and concentration. If you have any of these side effects its best to talk to your MD. I eventually had to wean myself off of it and get on something else. Effexor XR 150 mg is what I take right now.

My daughter is that way also. It's so hard to watch her hurt herself
