After having major problems in 2017 changing from Efexor-XR to Enlafax-XR, we want to try and get the process around funding of alternate brands of medication changed to make it less restrictive.

Please help by signing and sharing this petition.

There is also a Facebook page for people who have been affected by this - "ENLAFAX - problems with medication brand change NZ" please join if you have been or know of someone who was.

How Do You Tell Someone The Words They Said Hurt You?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

New Zealand Petition For Medication Brand Change
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hello,
Helen has started a petition to try and get our Government to take notice and start funding Effexor-XR again, Enlafax (the generic medication) has badly affected a lot of people but trying to get anything done about it is near impossible. Being on Effexor-XR is now very expensive as it is no longer funded at all, and many people with mental illness are on limited income.
Please sign and share this petition.
Thank you.

Is It Only Me?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I'm not sure I will explain this how I mean it. So bear with me
Say that you're in a different place in your head or whatever and you know what you should do to get yourself out of that funk but you can't do it even though you know what it is that would help you do it, you can't. no matter how hard you try. So then your stuck in that place cuz you are unable to do what you need to do. Is that just me or anybody else. Im not sure if I explained it correctly but I'm sure if anybody else has felt… read more

I picked this saying from a DC movie. "You think yourself unworthy of happiness. You are unwilling or unable to confine your failures in the past, to the past. Even when those who died forgave you."

How Do You Start To Care About Yourself?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

How do you do it? I just don't care about myself. I know how to care for myself. I'm asking how to care ABOUT myself.

Everything I do is for someone else or because I'm "supposed" to do it but nothing that has to do with my own wants and needs seems important enough to me to prioritize.

I know logically that I'm supposed to care about myself. Care what I eat or how healthy I am but I just...don't.

How do I change this?

How Do You Know Whether To Trust Someone With Your Secret?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have a close family friend whom I want to trust to tell my life with Depression. He's also a doctor. I want it to be in confidence and not let it get back to my family. My family doesn't know about my latest psych hospitalization.
Note: This man is the Only one to stand up to my brother and tell him that he likes me and will continue to see me and my husband on a social bases.
I love him like a brother since I was in high school ( 1987).

You can't really trust doctors. Perfect example, they can never guarantee anything. Not without risk their job or even their license to be on line.

What Are The Little Things That Make You Happy?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

People say you should focus on doing the things that make you happy when you're feeling down and depressed, little things like watching your favourite TV show or cooking your favourite meal. I personally don't know how to follow this advice at the moment because I can't think of anything that I enjoy doing or that makes me happy.

So, to give me some inspiration and to help others remember those little things that make them happy - What are the little things that make you happy, that you can… read more
