I was prescribed antidepressants at age 30 and I’m now 51. I have tried at least 4 different kinds. The first 10 years it was Effexor, Zoloft (Which I think was best), and a couple others for the first 10 or 12 years. The last 8 or 10 it’s been Prestique. It seems though after a certain amount of time using them they all lost their effect. That’s how it is with the Prestique is now.
Jeeesh. Auto correct??
Assume I'm on drugs. Ugg.
I had to quit taking all my meds cause I can't afford to gthat I'm on drugso to the Dr. I have gum disease and was taking good care of my teeth but then I ended up with breast cancer so I had to put my teeth on hold for awhile. Finally got back on track and then I had my lungs collapse. Now I can't afford any of it. People automaticly (including my family)
That is one I think i haven't tried. I was on effexor for along time. I was suppose to be coming off of it gradually. Was getting sick and thought I will just stop it now. Because, the dr said it messed up alot of things in your body. I was sick though and didn't realize it, or I would never have stopped it all the sudden.
I've run the gamut on most meds.. I've tried almost all of them..... and when I find one that works, you are right, it's either re-adjusting the dosage, or having to switch as it no longer works... I'm on pristiq now.... started at 100mg, and now taking 150mg..... not sure how long this one will last, it's been say 1 1/2 years now.... half the time I wait for the other shoe to drop, and follow the same routine of switching once again..
Hope you can transition to another med that works for you!
