Is there any medicine (prescription) out there designed to treat deep anger? I just have this deep anger inside me and I have an extremely short fuse, I tend to lash out without meaning too and I know this is a part of my BPD but sometimes I feel my anger gets out of control and it controls me sometimes.

Recently my long term partner broke up with me because they no longer were in love with me. In a conversation they told me two people with depression should probably have never been together. Is this a cop out or is there some truth in this?
