Twinges Of Pain In Bladder On Lithium
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Hi, I recently had my lithium dose increased to 600mg and since yesterday I started to get pains in my bladder and strange twinges. Has anyone else experienced this? Should I be worried about it? Many thanks for any replies...

that can be a side effect. long term or short. ride it out for little longer ok. but if it continues it'll be time to stop!

Hi many thanks for your reply I've been on lithium for about two months, it was added to my antidepressant as it wasn't working well enough for depression.

I’m on 900mg/day and haven’t noticed anything like that. I also have diabetes which makes me pee a lot when my sugar is elevated. Have you been on Lithium for a long period of time?
