What Does It Mean When You Have No Feelings Whatsoever?
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question πŸ’

Weeks ago, I couldn't stop crying. Now it feels like I have hardly any tears to cry anymore. Nothing seems to matter like it used to, I don't feel the love that I used to feel for my family and my boyfriend. I don't even care if he messages me or not, whereas it used to really bother me a lot where I would have really bad anxiety attacks or panic attacks when I wouldn't hear from him in hours. I almost feel like I am a zombie just going through the motions in life, hardly no sadness or anger… read more

What will you fill this emptiness with? Do you have a personal relationship with God where you can feel the peace and love when you are alone and depleted?

It took a long time to close the door on everything and believe that God is real. That probably is the one thing that made a difference in my life. Even though nothing is perfect.

When I was deep in addiction, when I knew no earthly power could save me from the evil I was experiencing, I went to a priest for my last rites.

As I continue to stumble thru my life and depression, I kept falling but finding people who were believers to lift me up and found a way to get on a good path.

I also felt a holy spirit that guided me to do right.

I learned that God was real and works thru other people surrounded my self with good. I discovered that by caring for the sick and abandoned by society, I could support myself and hold down a job.

I prayed for a husband and children. it all happened. Not perfect, but better than the evil I lived thru before.

Depression has been impossible to escape, but I can go to bed at night knowing God is holding me and helping me deal with things. I have enough faith to know everything is going to be alright.

Crying is called the gift of tears from the Holy Spirit in the Roman Catholic Rite.

I hope when you feel depleted, God blesses you with his love peace and guidance.

Love

You purged. Total cleanse. Your numb. You will be stronger now, detached and knowing what you need.

After being in an emotionally neglected marriage for 21 yrs- this is how I feel 2 years later. I believe it happens when somebody goes through a very hurtful or traumatic event. Hope you feel better soon, my friend. πŸ’œ

Well, I have become numb, blank and do not seem to care about many things anymore. Clinical Depression? Make sure you talk to a Therapist.

I also say be thankful for some of those things. Think of it as some kind of growth.
