I know nothin' about the effects of ECT, but I DO know that some psychiatrists seem to lack warmth, humor, and people skills . . the good news is that there are other psychiatrists out there besides the one you are going to! . . Cheers, Sam . .

Over a period of 18 months I recieved 51 ECT's. I have treatment resistant Major Depression, Anxiety and a few more. Can no longer work as a Nurse, memory is destroyed. I am alive, still depressed but not as bad, still have major bouts of Anxiety but again still alive. I will not, under any reason do ECT'S again. Trying to keep the memory I have left.

I've had 8 treatments too...but I've lost all my good memories. Still remember all the bad things I went through. Still suffer from PTSD. Luckily I'm off all my medication and feel great
