Medication Side Effects

I'm struggling with the side effects of the medication I'm taking. I've tried 10 or so different meds over the years and the current mix of 10mg Lexapro and 250mg of Lamictal is definitely the best I've ever had it, but I'm finding it difficult to cope with the side effects...

I'm guessing that a lot of people will relate to this but it may be difficult to talk about.

I will just suggest trying abilify. It has been my miracle drug for me. I can not even believe I am saying that. I thought nothing would help me!

Well there are other things that help for that. It's quite a stupid thing to have said as that's not why u take it I'm sure. Goodness. Maybe u shud find another doc!!! These drugs r hectic, all of them but if one is put on something then it's up to each of us to research it fully n any concerns should be raised with the doctor. Good luck @A MyDepressionTeam Member

Lexapro and Wellbutrin gave me the same side effects as you describe. My psy doc said, β€œBut it is a cure for pre-mature ejaculation!” He was an asshole.

If u on mood stabilizer then u probably won't be able to orgasm at all. I never did. The drugs changed me completely. I was like a walking zombie, some days I felt that I cud watch myself go through the motions of living without actually being part of living. It was simply dreadful. The reason y I took myself off them to begin with.

I'm not a guy, but Lexapro caused me to lose all interest in sex and also caused inflammation of my eyes. Going off of it now and onto Effexor XR. Hopeful on the sex drive situation, but so far no difference πŸ˜• Cathy
