Do does anyone ever feel like they want to escape their own head? How does one do that? How do the hell do I find some peace and quiet? I can't even escape my own life! I haven't had a vacation in more than 10 years, and from the way things are, I'm never going to be able to afford a vacation again unless some kind soul offers me one for free. I understand very well. Do you have anything that you enjoy doing. My way of getting out of my head is reading. When I read I am in another world. Also I have started to do some meditation. I have used some guided meditation downloads over the past year. I know it sounds hooky, but if you are say laying in bed, lights off and you turn the tape on I have found following the tape helps emensly to at least change the direction of my thoughts or derails the loop.

#1 -i listen to music, like im doing right now. get lost in it. #2- self-hypnosis really works well. just need to be careful with this and know what youre doing

I do read a lot. I'm an editor, so I read all day, but after working on STEM manuscripts all day, I read fantasy books for fun. I also do coloring while I'm watching tv.

I am right there with you, It is a struggle to even feel like being around is worth it..the weather( 9 degrees) where I am, is not helping matters
