Take a doggie..dont have one ? Borrow one...offer to walk a neighbor or friend's or volunteer at a shelter...win win for u and pup...companion, protection, and exercise for both!
Recently rescued a dog, so far I’ve only missed a few days but she is my motivation. I walk her daily. I truly think she rescued me lol but I feel better for a little while glad that I’m getting my fur baby excercise and she helps me get out of the house. Before her after work I would put on pjs....silly yes but I’m very happy of the small accomplishments, but seem to be short lived trying to come up with small things to try to do. This is one of them....the other depression sites I tried I posted once and was shamed for it. I’m a very private person, so sharing this post is out of my box of comfort lol hope everyone is ok today sending hugs
That's like when I wake up at 6am to go swimming, I freeze up and convince myself I'll go tomorrow instead. The one thing that guarantees that I'll go is to literally step outside of the house.I know if I can do, there's no going back. Also to try n think about free will, fight the invisible, intangible wall of doubt by stepping through it, literally. It's very difficult,I still haven't been swimming in so long!
Hi @A MyDepressionTeam Member! Have you tried exercise videos? I use them all the time. You can also go to Youtube and find workouts that way too. Yes, exercising can be very solitary, but I always liked it that way rather than with someone chatting in my ear all the time. I like to focus on the things around me and take in the beauty. It also helps warn me of danger I may not notice if I am with someone else who is chatting
my exercise is walking....lots and lots of walking.....and dancing :)
