My anxiety has made it very difficult to pass my drivers license test (i barely make it to the car) but it's only like that during a test. I drive just fine any other time. Also studying for exams and tests are very hard. I'm tired of my anxiety holding me back.
Although I've found using the technique very difficult myself during high emotional stress I do believe other people find it very helpful. I'm speaking of the technique of achieving mindful awareness and becoming present to the now. An example would be to focus on your breath in and out of your nose or the smell of the room you are in, specific sounds u can hear instead of the thoughts racing in your mind like loud voices. I like to visualize a stop sign and will even repeat the word over and over to tell myself to stop freaking out and reassure myself with a mantra like " I am capable" " I can do this". Hope this helps.
On my 5th and it keeps getting worse
I did my driving test four times before I passed.
I was always like that when I was in school as a child.
I could not think straight.
And I never realised at the time what it was.
But years later when I was fourty I sat and done English and maths in junior cert and the following year done the same in leaving cert.
And passed them.
