Good Morning Everyone,
I've finally confronted / stood up to my Aunt that is bipolar thru a letter and she called my husband and claimed that she wasn't bipolar until after she had a surgery which im not really buying it.
I believe I know the answer to my question but just wanted to clarity it.
The Bipolar disorder is something you are born with and not developed right? Or developed after surgery ?
Thanks
Lu
I am not bi polar and am not completely educated on the subject..
but NO not all are born being bi polar. It can, just like depression or anxiety, can be developed later in life..
Bipolar disorder often develops in a person's late teens or early adult years. At least half of all cases start before age 25. Some people have their first symptoms during childhood, while others may develop symptoms late in life. Bipolar disorder is not easy to spot when it starts.
From what I understand and have been told is it's a chemical I'm balance in your brain. I'm not sure if that can just develope. I wasn't diagnosed until adulthood but I know I had issues growing up. Sorry I wasn't much help. I'd like to know that answer too.
Yeah, the people Ive known it emerged in their early 20s. My depression started at age 13, but didn't come to cripple me til I was 36.
I am bipolar and I wasn't born with it,and if you take a serious look into your life from the time you can remember you'll see where bipolar beginning within you
