Benadryl is generally calming but puts most people to sleep. There's also blood pressure medication that's often prescribed for anxiety. Tell them it didn't work. They're likely afraid to prescribe you anything addictive. Anti depressants can be used to help treat anxiety.

Actually, there are some allergy pills that work the same way as a Xanax or as some other type of medications for anxiety. I do not like using anxiety medications. However, I have had to do that before. Now I try to fight my anxiety off with mindfulness thinking and breathing techniques. When all else fails I take an allergy tablet the brand is Top Care. It does wonders and is not addictive. Something else I learned is to count backwards from a hundred while holding your breath up to three to seven seconds at a time. This shuts off the flight or fight part of the brain and makes you start using your other part of the brain which is where your logic comes from. It does wonders. Good luck.

Strange... I was given allergy meds from my GP, try and find a psychologist and you will be treated properly.

i did tell them they just shrugged. i have taken ativan in the past and never misused it, it was the only thing that helped. risperdone just numbed me out completely i just went through the motions so it helped in a way but not with the depression.

I have an allergy pill to help me sleep. The side effects of the tablet are drowsiness so I understand the reasoning behind it. Haven't heard anything about it being used for anxiety though. Sorry. xxx 😼😻
