How Do People Deal With Negitivity Be It Work, School Or In General
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

Or in general?
I ask as I sometimes don't know how to deal with all the negative energy that get thrown at me on a daily basis.

I'd like to follow this question and the answers. It seems like I am also inundated with negativity, and it makes trying to overcome depression and anxiety so much harder. It seems like people are so much more angry and critical these days. Every situation seems so negative, and I would love to hear the ways others cope.

Hi Carolyn J could it possible that the meds you're taking may be to strong, just something to investigate, stay strong and know you're always blessed

My mom (from her own ptsd experience) can be very mean and negative even nasty negative. My dad and I keep loving her because we can see the GOOD BRILLIANT person she is but it's hard to take for long periods. I am sure that I have INTERNALIZED some of the awful things she has said...it makes me want to be disloyal and hurtful sometimes but I still love her. I feel mixed up because of her or me and my depression I don't know 😞 not a feel good situation....

@A MyDepressionTeam Member I just read what I wrote. So sorry to make it about me. How are things going are you still experiencing problems at work. People can be mean. Their words only become a part of us if we let them. If we don't even think about what people say or do it doesn't bring it to life and hurt us. I hope that makes sense. We have to believe in ourselves and our uniquenesses as being beautiful. Inside and out. I really hope things are improving for you.
