Hi everyone
I have been on Effexor for 2Oyrs
I started seeing a phyciatrist and she has prescribed a mood stabiliser
I am so afraid to try it
Im.not bipolar she insists it will help with my anxiety
Has anyone taken it and been able to stop after a while?
I dont want to be on long term
I completely agree with SherrieMorgan. Taking the meds will help you. Just think of the pill as a vitamin that you need to take to keep you healthy. I paid the price for not taking my meds and it almost killed me. I see from your photo that you have a daughter, she needs you healthy. Take care
@A MyDepressionTeam Member That's why I'm so afraid to try it 😣
Can I ask why it was prescribed.for you ?
Lamictal was one of the most horrible medications I was ever on. I had to be taken off it within a week and a half on being out on it. The side effects were ridiculous...everything from total blurred vision (I wasn't able to drive) to my blood pressure going from normal to low so i was dizzy. Had trouble walking. That among the other smaller side effects.
If you go this route PLEASE at the first sign of anything off, get off this medication.
Best of Luck.
Great stabilizers children are. Take Care
