I stopped my medication last week and my depression is coming back. I'm very scared,
I have been having these symptomes:
Anxiety
Depression and mood swings
Dizziness and balance problems, possibly vertigo
Fatigue
Flu-like symptoms
Headache
Muscle spasms
Nausea
Nightmares
Vomiting
Not all of them at the same time and some are going away but I feel very down and I don't know what to do.
Someone told me to take vitamine D and omega 3, couls it help me?
I totally agree, i wean down slowly, but find that after 3 months at a reduce dose, the depression returns, so i go back up. There is no failure in taking the medication.xx
Do not stop taking them cold turkey, talk with your doctor first , wean off them slowly as there are some serious side effects to just stopping cold turkey,. Very slowlybis the way to go.
@A MyDepressionTeam Member @A MyDepressionTeam Member I las nos diagnosed with a depression as an illness but as a situational problem so my doctor said that after a year I could try. Yes, it was easier just keep taking them but I wanted to try to live without them because my life is more under control now. It was the worst week but I feel ok I try to exercise at least 30 minutes par day as my doctor strongly recommended and I am trying to eat healthier , my kids have been wonderful to help go trough this . I will ask for a therapy in psychology to prevent any breakdown.
Everyday I try and I don't win every day but I'll keep trying if however I discover that it is a medical condition as in depression as an illness I will take medication no doubts. They saved my life last year!
Stopping your meds is dangerous. If you want to come off the drugs discuss with your dr. Some meds are not safe to stop cold turkey. With all the symptoms you have I can't imagine coming off meds.
Why would you want to stop your meds if they help you. Depression is a disease as real as hypertension or diabetics. You would not stop your meds if youvwete diagnosed with one if them. Keep taking your meds
