I've been taking Lexapro for 18 days now. I believe that it's working for me. I don't feel as anxious as usual. I'm still terribly absent minded and spacey. It's hard to say how it's affecting my energy level as I've been sick with a cold since not long after starting my Lexapro. I guess my question is what should I be expecting at this point of treatment??
I'm scheduled to go back in for a checkup after a month of this medication. I will mention getting a referral for a therapist while I'm there.
therapy in combination tends to work best since pills are not a long term solution since your body in some cases can adjust to them as well as pills don't address the triggers and if you choose to get off of them knowing how to cope without meds can be helpful, maybe as PCP for therapy options
No I'm not in therapy at the moment. I'm a newbie to any type of treatment for depression and anxiety. I've just seen my PCP for the first time last month about my mental health issues. I'm really hoping that this will work for me. I've been suffering for so long. I'm beyond ready for some relief.
its different for everyone. depends if your doing therapy as well
