I have such a hard time dealing with daily basis and now having a pre-teen who thinks he is so cool and has an attitude... the worst is that he is such a smart kids but he is lazy and would prefer to be the class clown... I really feel like throwing in the hat and give up or hide somewhere....

i take it he is not your biological. if that is the case then maybe you can take a breath or 2 an look at a new way of finding out why he is not engaged in school

I have an 11 year old at home and I now understand that he is going through changes that I never experienced a growing up female.
