Does Anyone Find They Have Tried A Few Medications And Find They Are Not Working
A MyDepressionTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have tried citalopram that stopped working so was put on venlafaxine with mirtazapine they took me off the mirtazapine I don't know why it was working then the venlafaxine was working for awhile and then last year near the end it stopped working and they put me on Sertraline but that hasn't been working for 2 weeks

Ive been weaning myself off venaflaxine for a couple weeks now taking just 1 35gm tablet from 3 then 2 each week, I take 2 Burofen tablets each morning & here's the joke ,there smoking meds for giving it up yet its working my mind is the big change like its not on its own level kind of thing where it was mostly DARK & GLOOMY seriously 24/7 ,now my mind is clearer like theres no chemical influence in my brain & its so relieving in a way I sleep better at normal hours like not 3am to 3pm...So to conclude I'll never go back to chemical warfare on my brain as it did not do much but just kind of fueled my dep ect ,I still have issues though but I'm dealing with them on a much better playing field ,meaning I'm enjoying the challenges again like my old self, my SPIRITUALITY has gone through the roof which is the best part as it is my biggest & best challenge as I am a JW.org...

I always found something would work for a little while then I would plateau and have to up my dosage, this happened until I reached the max. Dosage for cetalapram then the same with venlafaxine but luckily sitting on 300mg venlafaxine a day has now been working for me for about 7yrs (ignoring the rough patches every now n then)
