Ive been weaning myself off venlafaxine on my third week now & my head is much clearer like its not doing high speed laps with my thoughts & not really getting anywhere or even making anxieties, depression & the like more worse as my brain is funnily normal & I love it no side effects from the smoking meds I'm on now. But I know we are all wired differently so hope this has shed some light on your own situation....billy

I am on 150 mg of Pristiq and recently had about a month of dizziness. It was strange because it was only dizziness associated with chane of position ie. standing up from sitting. My psychiatrist suggested it was low blood pressure - but have never had this. Also as I observed it more, was getting dizzy changing position from standing up to sitting down .... NOT blood pressure. Started worrying about inner ear complications (re balance). Didn't affect my balance during yoga/dance in other ways. There had been NO change in the amount of Pristiq I was taking and had been on it for many months - a year maybe but starting at a lower dose.

Had a review with my doctor and forgot to mention it.

Now fine!! Go figure. So my experience could be due to Pristiqe but has passed.

I find I get confused in my Lithium is out. Did not have it with Pristiq.

So my advice is to just be careful and hopefully it will pass. I did fall over a couple of times ... no big deal. Thanks for sharing.

I am on Pristina 50mg and don't like how it makes me feel at all.

Maybe there is another medication you can take because if thats not helping you to feel right it's not working
