Try going to AA. It helps me greatly. Keep busy. Eat something sweet when a craving comes on.

I had the same problem, I couldn't go a week without drinking. I tried having snacks everytime I wanted to drink. Get yourself a big bag of pretzels and yoghurt and live

@A MyDepressionTeam Member Any tips for @A MyDepressionTeam Member? I just read you've been sober for 8 months, thought you might have some tips!

If you go to AA, be careful of who you trust and associate with. There are lots of loving, caring members there but there are also a lot of narrow minded assholes. My suggestion would be to sit, observe and listen to what people have to say and choose the ones that you may feel comfortable with.
There's a faction of AA members that believe that the 12 steps will cure literally everything, including mental illness and are totally against any kind of medication. I know of 4 people who took that advice and committed suicide. Your best bet would be to not bring it up until you know who is safe to confide in.
I'm not trying to dissuade you from going to AA so please don't take it that way. AA has helped me immensely and I hope it does for you, too.
A buddy of mine told me once that I drank in bars with assholes and some of those same people end up in AA.
