I was curious if the sound or pitch of some one else's voice irritate the hell out of you to the point where you wanted to tell the person to shut the hell up? Or the pitch of that person's voice either sounded like they are nagging at you or like nails down a chalkboard? What do you think about this?
@A MyDepressionTeam Member, the tone of voice someone uses can have a strong effect on how we react to their words....my mother used to say, " a kind word turns away wrath ( or anger)
I feel that way . Different sounds bother me.
I feel the same way. Feels like when people call me I always expect the worse. I withdraw and isolate myself. I live with a lot of secrets. Because I am scared to be judged.
Yep, I can relate completely. A few people I know/have lived with previously are like this, I moved into a place of my own at the start of the year and I love the peace and quiet and not having to constantly deal with noise!
Tone of voice especially high pitched makes me feel irritated like it is fingernails on a chalk board. But what bothers me the most is hearing someone chewing! I think with the anxiety my nerves are "hanging out" so often which is why it disturbs me so much.
