My experience with fluoxetine has been good. Taken it for many years. My Drs. have added on a couple more meds in the past few months, but did not want me to stop the fluoxetine. The 3 meds. seem to agree.

I've been on it for 10 years. I know it does help, because the few times I thought I could wean off it I payed for it with days of the lowest point I've ever known. No bad side effects.

Before I was on my current med, my doc tried it on me. It made me cold and sweaty and so stopped within 2 weeks...couldn't tolerate that. Currently taking PaxilCr which I have been on for a very long time and Paxil before that.

I have been on fluoxetine and it worked good for depression but it stopped working properly but that was probably due to any attempted od, no negative side effects for me
